William "Bill" White

William "Bill" White of Darlington passed away Wednesday night at home.  He was 89.

Bill worked at Plastenes and then R.R. Donnelley for many years.  He liked to ride motorcycles and attend auctions.  He was an avid collector, particularly of silver and guns.  He served in the National Guard.

Born Dec. 22, 1932 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Samuel Roscoe White and Anna Smith White.  He attended Crawfordsville schools.

Surviving family includes: wife, Beulah White; son, Daniel (Jackie) White; two step-daughters, Darla (Randy) Allen and Lorrie Sayler; two step-sons, Jeff (Ashlie) Threlkeld and Heath (Michelle) Threlkeld; son-in-law, Mike Sarjent; sister, Darlene Stark along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: parents; daughter, Deborah Sarjent; granddaughter, Corrie South; grandson, Zackery Freeman; four brothers, Donald, James, Charles and Bob; three sisters, Mary, Marjorie and Barb.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at 1 PM, led by Pastor Tennyson Fitch.  Burial will follow at Rush Creek Cemetery in Tangier.
