Wade B. Nixon, 76, of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away on October 19th, 2023. Wade was born to Harold "Nick" and Jane (Dunnington) Nixon in 1947. He was a lifelong resident of Crawfordsville, graduating from Crawfordsville High School in 1965. He was stationed at the Sondrestrom Air Base in Greenland during the Vietnam War, where he ran the radio and television station on the Base. Upon discharge from the Air Force, he got his degree in Business from Indiana University, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He returned to Crawfordsville to run the family business, Steck's clothing store. Wade was a dedicated member of the Crawfordsville community, serving as president of the Chamber of Commerce and working closely with downtown businesses and Wabash College. Ever the entrepreneur, Wade started his own video production business, WBN Productions, reinvigorating his love for audio and video production. Wade is survived by his wife Kim, his sister Salli Colby, his children Whitney and Ian, and his granddaughters Winnie and Isla. Wade's final wishes were to be cremated with no formal funeral service.
