Russell Wayne Phelps of Darlington passed away in his home.  He was 62.

Mr. Phelps worked at R.R. Donnelley for many years.  More recently, he had been employed at Pace Dairy.  He enjoyed woodworking and cooking.  Above all else, Russell loved his children more than anything in the world.

Born May 26, 1958 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Everett Leon Phelps and Martha Joyce Weaver Phelps Rogers.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School.

Surviving family includes: daughter, April Hodges (John); two sons, Dennis Wayne Phelps, Eldon Wolfgang Phelps; mother, Martha Rogers; two brothers, Randy J. Phelps and James Arnold Rogers, Jr. (Donna).

He was preceded in death by his dad.

There will not be a public visitation or service.  His wish was to have a simple cremation and his family is honoring that request.  Arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home.
