Robert K. Wendall of rural Veedersburg passed away Sunday night at Franciscan Health –Lafayette.  He was 69.

Bob attended church at First Assembly in Crawfordsville, where he was very involved.  He was the leader of the prayer team as well as a member of the church worship team for over 20 years.  He loved music, baseball and was great with numbers.  He taught at Wheeler High School near Valparaiso and Munster High School before coming to Ivy Tech and teaching in both Lafayette and Crawfordsville.

Born Jan. 27, 1952 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Robert L. Wendall and Anora Stewart Wendall.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School, class of 1970.  He went to Purdue and earned his teaching degree in 1974.  He married Diana Grimm on July 27, 1980 in Montezuma, Indiana.  She survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Diana Wendall; two daughters, Elyse Wendall and Kirsten Wendall.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday, Aug. 21 ^st at First Assembly, 2070 Lebanon Road, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at 1 PM, led by Pastor Christopher Cain.  After the service he will be laid to rest at the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery.
