Robert Marvin Jones passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at home, in the presence of his family. He fought hard against a very aggressive disease, Lewy Body Dementia.

Rob was born August 22, 1954 at Fort Campbell Kentucky to Clayton Marvin & Carol Jones.

Rob graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1972. He then became a Journeyman Ironworker for Local 379 Lafayette, Indiana and then for Indianapolis Local 22 with the merger of the locals. He was an Ironworker until his retirement in 2009.

On March 30, 1974, he married the love of his life Vicki L. Brown. They were 1 day short of 51 years of marriage.

Rob enjoyed telling his jokes, people always could depend on him telling a few in any setting. He also loved watching and supporting his kids and grandkids in their lives and sports, along with Vic traveling in their RV.

Surviving along with his wife, Vicki; daughter, Mandy Jones; son, R. Casey Jones; grandchildren Breana (Kienan) Lowery, Brendan Jones. Blayze Jones and Cyan Jones; great-grandchildren, Gavin Lowery, Dominic Lowery, Storie Lowery and Collin Lowery.

In complying with Rob's wishes he will be cremated. Rob's exact quote was "I want to be cremated and have my ashes spread around the house so Vic has to clean up after me one more time." While Vic has not agreed to the second part of his request, you all know Rob is laughing about it right now.

Rob has also requested that a funeral not be done, Therefore, we will have a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Ave in Crawfordsville, from 2PM to 6PM. Please come with your stories and memories to share with the family.
