Robert Lee Hodges of rural Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday morning at home.  He was 83.

Mr. Hodges liked hunting, especially coon hunting.  He liked donkeys, horses and cattle, as well as riding his tractor.  He also enjoyed watching wrestling.  He worked construction for many years, building bridges and pole barns.

Born Dec. 13, 1942 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of James Madison Hodges and Tora Ella High Hodges.  He attended school at Mt. Zion and Crawfordsville.  He married the former Glenna McClure.  She survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Glenna Hodges; six children, Kristi Martens, Tim Hodges, Angie Allgood, James Michael "Mike" Hodges, Bobbi Hodges and Amanda Hodges; twelve grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 2 PM on Saturday, June 20th at Burkhart Funeral Home.  He will be laid to rest privately at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
