Rebecca Jean (Royer) Lowe, of Darlington, passed away Saturday night at Ben-Hur Health.  She was 80.

Born Oct. 9, 1943 in Crawfordsville to Herbert and Alberta Ruth (Mullen) Royer, she graduated from Darlington High School in 1961.

Becky married Richard B. Lowe on June 3, 1962 at the Darlington Congregational Christian Church by Rev. John Simpson.

Becky is survived by: two sons, Jeffrey Paul (Rhonda) Lowe of Crawfordsville and Matthew Blaine (Nema) Lowe of Darlington; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carole Ryker of Crawfordsville and Cathy Rhine of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews, close friends and a host of Christian brothers and sisters.

Becky spent most of her years being a wife and mother, but worked a few years out of the home; Purdue University, Montgomery County School Superintendent's Office and Heritage Bank and Trust Co.

She was a member of Whitesville Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, nephew, Mark Ryker and brother-in-law, Ed Ryker.

Graveside services will be held for family and friends on May 11, 2024 at 1PM at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
