Rachel L. Gardner of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday Feb. 6th at home.  She was 72.

Born March 26, 1949 at Crawfordsville she was the daughter of the late Everett Lutes and Barbara (Ralph) Vaughn. She married Jack Gardner on June 10, 1972.  He preceded her in death on June 23, 2021.

Rachel had been a realtor.  She enjoyed drawing, wood burning, bowling and enjoyed spending time with her family.  She was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.  She and her late husband,  Jack, enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels on their back deck.

Surviving family includes sons Lonnie (Rose) Coffenberry of Crawfordsville, Shawn (Melanie) Gardner of Crawfordsville, Bradwick (Karri) Gardner of New Market, Chadwick  (Summer) Gardner of Crawfordsville; eleven grandchildren, Brandon, Javan (Susanna), Skyler (Rebecca), Vyctoria, Blake, Slayde, Lilly, Creed, Victoria, Angel; and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held March 27, 2022 from 1pm-4pm at the Lake Holiday Club House.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
