Peggy Lynn Behr, 74, of Crawfordsville, IN passed away surrounded by her family on June 16, 2024 after a 16-month long battle with ovarian cancer.

Born in Indianapolis, IN to Curtis and Naomi Miller McGinnis on November 30, 1949. Peggy retired from R.R. Donnelley after 35 years working in customer service. On July 27, 1981, Peggy married the love of her life Robert Behr. Together they raised two daughters.

Peggy enjoyed attending her granddaughter Marley's activities, reading, and making beautiful seasonal cards. She was known for cakes and cupcakes, was an avid Indiana Hoosier fan, and really enjoyed working in her flower beds.

Surviving family include: husband, Robert Behr; daughters, Delaney Behr, and Courtney (Shawn) Verhey; granddaughter Marley Lynn; and siblings, Vanessa Goodwin, Toni Ferch, Chip Ferch, Tracy Ferch and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews…. too dang many to count.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kent McGinnis.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 6th. 1-4pm with service to immediately follow at 4 PM. Burial will take place at a later date at Browns Wonder Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local Animal Shelter as Peggy was known for pulling over on the side of the road to rescue stray dogs.
