Paula Ann Wade of Crawfordsville passed away Friday morning at home.  She was 75.

Paula loved dancing, socializing, travelling, shopping and anything purple.  She was past Madam President of the Crawfordsville Eagles Auxiliary.  She was also a member of the Moose and American Legion Auxiliary.  She worked several places, but her favorite was R.R. Donnelley, because there she met her husband, Charlie.

Born July 6, 1947 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Donald Peterson and Cornella "Rosie" Rush Peterson.  She graduated from Mishawaka High School.  She married Charles L. "Charlie" Wade on Dec. 26, 1969 in Darlington and they had 37 happy years together before he passed away on May 5, 2007.

Surviving family includes: daughter, Heather Wade; son, Josh Wade (Kacey); four grandchildren, Lauren Ball (fiancé, Jordan Spurlock), Nathan Wade, Jaelynn Thompson, Charlie Wade; great-grandson, Leo Spurlock; sister, Patricia Moore; two sisters-in-law, Myrna Thompson (Sam) and Sue Lyon; along with many nieces, nephews as well as several special children and grandchildren that weren't blood related, but were equally special to Paula.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Terri Crouse.

Visitation will be from 2 to 5 PM Tuesday, June 13th at Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at 5 PM, led by Pastor Jim Rivers.
