Michael Decker of Mace passed away Monday morning at home.  He was 69.

Mr. Decker worked as a farmer and truck driver, driving for Dave Turner.  He loved to be outside.  He would work in his yard and go fishing as much as possible.  He also liked to take trips to North Carolina.

Born Oct. 17, 1950 in Muncie, Indiana, to Henry O. Decker and Nan Decker, his mother became disabled so he lived at went to school at the Indiana Children's Home.  He served his country in the U. S. Army.  He and his wife, Reba, were together 18 years and married on June 17, 2015.

Surviving family includes: wife, Reba Decker; two sons, Shane Decker and Jason Decker; daughter, April; two brothers, Donnie Decker, Ron Decker; sisters, Reda Stout and June Hampton.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Millie and Ruth.

A private family visitation will be held at Burkhart Funeral Home on Sunday, followed by cremation.
