Florence Gobel

July 2, 1935-June 18, 2025

Mary Florence Gobel of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday at Ben Hur Health at the age of 89.

Mrs. Gobel was a member of the First Baptist Church and Eastern Star.  She had her own beauty shop in her home for many years.  She was an avid Pacers fan.  She liked reading, travelling, shopping and going to Beef n Boards.

Born July 2, 1935 in Garfield, she was the daughter of Leslie Largent and Etha Largent.  She attended school at New Market.  She married Donald Gobel and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Cathy Taylor, son David Gobel and five siblings, Virginia, Wilmer "Bud", Waneta, Ethel and David "Red".

Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM on Monday, June 23rd at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 11 AM.  After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
