Obituary

Margaret Ann Morton, 79, of Indianapolis was granted eternal peace on Friday morning at Eagle Valley Meadows.

Mrs. Morton was a master tax preparer for H & R Block, where she also served as an instructor and office manager.  A woman of deep faith, she was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Brownsburg and taught Sunday school for 35 years.  She loved to take care of her children and grandchildren.

Born Dec. 16, 1940 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Herbert Washburn and Juanita Eskridge Washburn.  She graduated from Washington High School, class of 1959.  She married LeRoy Morton July 23, 1965 in Newport, Kentucky.  He survives.

She is survived by her loving family, which includes: husband, LeRoy Morton; two sons, LeRoy Morton, Jr. (Sherry), Robert Morton (Kim); one daughter, Lori Ann Caswell (Randy); thirteen grandchildren, Jaclyn, Sarah, Leah, Matthew, Bethany, Jonathan, Kaytlin, Robert II, Brock, Gabe, Greg, Anna and Jo; nine great-grandchildren, Breanna, Casen, Annabelle, Adyn, Phoebe, Coraline, Parker, Gavin, Dominic; five sisters, Carlina, Elsie, Linda, Lois, Rita; two brothers, Tom and James.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Thursday, March 12 at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash, Crawfordsville, as well as from 10 AM to 1 PM on Friday, March 13.  Services will begin at 1 PM, led by her brother-in-law, Pastor Stephen Morton.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery South.
