Linda "Lynn" Apple

December 15, 1942 - July 9, 2025

Linda "Lynn" Apple passed away Wednesday, July 9th, at Ben-Hur Health at the age of 82.

Lynn was born on December 15, 1942, in Gallatin, Tennessee, to Cecil Clay Apple and Edith Elizabeth (McCullough) Apple.  She attended Thorntown schools as a young girl and graduated from Darlington High School in the class of 1960.  After graduation, she began her working career at Indiana Printing Company in Crawfordsville, then moved on to Domino's Pizza as a delivery person, store manager, and area manager in Indianapolis.  Later she worked at Perdue Farms in Thorntown, retiring from there in 2005.  After retirement she worked part time at the Darlington Mini-Mart.  She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, but would watch many sports on TV including baseball, men's college basketball, and women's college softball.  She enjoyed fishing and playing games, especially euchre.  She was a past member of the Women of the Moose, and enjoyed playing darts there and participating in the Moose state euchre tournament.  She also enjoyed going to casino's, especially with her sister Donna for an overnight adventure.

Surviving family includes:  brother, Steve Apple (Jackie), of Darlington, four nieces, Missy Petersimes (Chuck) of Crawfordsville, Jessica Elkins (Josh) of Veedersburg, Janessa Crace (Jason Davidson) of Ashland, KY,  and Jennifer Schaefer (Jon) of Evansville:  great nieces and nephews Ryan, Clayton, Hayleigh, Kynleigh, Braxtyn, Azaya, Brady, Colby, and Marley; several cousins in Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, and Florida; her good friends Alice, Sharon, and Terri;  and her faithful cat Mama Kitty.

Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Donna Norton.
