With heavy hearts, we share that Larry Bonwell, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, following a lengthy illness.

Larry was born in Crawfordsville on January 23, 1951, to Thelma (Smith) and Binford Bonwell, both of whom preceded him in death. Proudly enlisted as a Marine in the late 1960s and early '70's, Larry carried the spirit and loyalty of the Corps with him throughout his entire life. That unwavering pride was matched only by the love he held for his grandchildren. His grandson's Tristen Hood and Brayzen Campbell, and granddaughter, Aynslee Campbell, were the light of his world. He spent every moment he could with them, cherishing their laughter, their energy, and the joy they brought to his life.

Over the years, Larry worked hard as a truck driver, in construction, and in whatever role was needed to provide for his family. He lived simply, loved deeply, and gave generously of his time and his heart.

Larry is survived by his sisters, Connie West, son Jay (Angie) and Barbara (Butch) Graham, son Craig (Angie), and by his daughters: Aysa Bonwell, Kodi (Jon) Lemon, Corey (Ryan) Orr, and Kista Fritts. In addition to Tristen, Aynslee, and Brayzen, Larry was blessed with five other grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews; each one a source of pride and joy.

A memorial service to honor Larry's life will be held at Burkhart Funeral Home on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
