Kenneth Ray Wood, 60, of Crawfordsville passed away Monday afternoon at Franciscan East in Lafayette.

Ken was a very active member of Friendship Baptist Church, teaching Sunday School.  He served as a witness for God throughout all aspects of his life.  He was a carpenter, most recently employed at Pace Dairy.  He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.  Most of all, he loved his family.

Born Sept. 9, 1960 in Anderson, he was the son of Gene Paul Wood and Linda Humphries Wood.  He graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1978.  On June 7, 1994 he married the former Christi Robards and they shared a loving bond ever since.

His family is left to carry on his legacy.  They include: wife, Christi Wood; two sons, Matthew Wood, Christopher Hughes; mother, Linda Wood; two sisters, Cindy Wood Wolfe, Penny (Brian) Cobb; two brothers, James (Linda) Wood, Donald Wood; brother-in-law, Stephen Wolfe, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Monday, May 17 ^th at Friendship Baptist Church, 1981 Oak Hill Road, Crawfordsville.  Services will begin at 1 PM, led by Pastor Chris Hortin.  Burial will follow at the Mace Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
