Karen Sue McDonald of Waynetown passed away Sunday night at home.  She was 83.

Mrs. McDonald was a member of First Christian Church of Crawfordsville.  She loved to travel with her family and would plan the trips down to exact times, which she enjoyed doing as much as the trip itself.  She was a nurse for many years at Culver Hospital and St. Clare Medical Center.

Born Oct. 27, 1939 in Danville, Illinois, she was the daughter of John Adkins and Mildred Smith Adkins.  She graduated from Kingman High School, class of 1957.  She married Dallas Ray McDonald on May 28, 1961.  He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, Dallas McDonald of Waynetown; daughter, Kristine Sanders; two sons, Douglas (Jill) McDonald and Scot (Keri) McDonald; six grandchildren, Austin, Ethan, Caitlin, Nathaniel, Alexandria, and Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be Friday, May 12 ^th at First Christian Church, 211 South Walnut Street, starting at 10 AM and continuing until the service begins at 1 PM.  Pastor Kevin Toth will officiate.  After the service, she will be laid to rest at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
