Judith M. Baker (Judy), 72, of Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Judy was born August 25, 1951, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to the late Vera Dinius and Dale West.
Judy was the loving wife of William Baker. Beloved mother of Eric Hopkins (Karen), Angie Fischer (Craig), Shelly Bunch-Baker (Tony) and Mike Baker (Christina). Loving Grandma to Julia Hopkins (Stephanie), Chris Baker, Emily Fischer, Andrea Fischer, Lindsey Fischer, Alyssa
Odell (Josh), Kyla McKee (John), Dylon Starnes (Miriam), and Ryan Fischer. Great Grandma to Ryleigh, Asher, Averie, Zayne and Madelyn. All survived.
Judy was the sister to and survived by Sandy Ditton, Carna Leonard, Mel Dinius, Jack West, Mike Dinius, Randy Dinius, Bobby Dinius, Deanna Emerson, and Lisa Dowell.
Judy worked as a self-employed hairdresser in her home for 25 years, then worked at Crawford Industries until retirement in 1999. Judy didn't know a stranger and her smile and laugh were infectious. She and her husband Bill welcomed anyone and everyone into their home for a meal, a laugh or just company. Judy enjoyed bowling, cooking, music and was a die-hard Chicago Cubs Fan, very rarely did she miss a game.
Judy was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry West, sister Sharon Morales, and Stepfather Melvin Dinius.
There will be a celebration of her life at a later time.
Judy really loved her dogs, Layla and Sadie, and was passionate about most animals. In lieu of flowers she would like you to donate to the Montgomery County League for Animal welfare. www.mcawl.com.
