John D. Rentschler of Ladoga passed away Friday at Franciscan East in Lafayette.  He was 68.

John was a talented musician that played keyboard for weddings and events.  He worked for Southmont schools and later with R. R. Donnelley.

Born Nov. 20, 1951 in Madison, Indiana, he was the son of Donald Arthur Rentschler and Jean McLaughlin Rentschler.  He attended school at Darlington.

Surviving family includes a step-son, Kevin Archer of Crawfordsville, several close friends and his cat, Noah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Rentschler, who was killed in the Air Force in Jan. of 1969.

There will be no public visitation or funeral.  A public graveside service will be held Friday, Aug. 21 ^st at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
