Jenny Jo Wantz passed away Wednesday morning at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville, where she had resided since the beginning of last year.  She was 82.

Mrs. Wantz worked in the business office of the Navy, where she met her husband, Phillip Wantz.  She attended New Hope Christian Church in Crawfordsville and spent a few years working at R.R. Donnelley and in registration at the local hospital.  She loved her cat, Patches.

Born April 4, 1943 in Frankfort, Indiana, she was the daughter of Walter C. Perry and Florene Perry.  She graduated from Frankfort High School.  She married Phillip E. Wantz on Jan. 14, 1978 and he preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1985.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Sara Olson of Carmel, California as well as her many friends, particularly Katy Dockins, Kimm Wheeler, Debbie Catterson, Arleen Wilhite, Bethanne Buckley, members of the Sunshine Chorus, and her church family at New Hope.

Visitation will be from Noon to 1 PM on Saturday, April 19th at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 1 PM, led by Pastor Jeff Keller.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Bunnell Cemetery in Frankfort on Monday, April 21st.
