Helen J. Lewis of Linden passed away Monday morning at home.  She was 92.

Helen was a registered nurse in several places over the years, mostly in the ICU.  She liked to read, crochet and was a wonderful cook. She would watch cooking shows often to get ideas.

Born Sept. 25, 1932 in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Keith Ritenour and Jessie Florence Carpenter Ritenour.  She graduated from Dayton High School and attended nurse's training at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Surviving family includes: sister, Betty Sweeney; three grandchildren, Dane Lewis (Malisa) with their children, Brevin, DeShawn, LeBron and Ashayla; Madison Sixberry (Caleb) with their three children, Lillian, Rozelyn and Clover; Chase Allen (Dakota) with their son, Xavier.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leslie Allen.

Her family will hold a celebration of life to remember her.  Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
