Hazel M. Whittom of New Richmond passed away Wednesday afternoon at home.  She was 86.

She attended Fremont Street Baptist Church.  She worked with payroll and employee records for the United Missouri Bank of Ferguson.

Born July 23, 1934 in Doniphan, Missouri, she was the daughter of William Lee Boyles and Ethel Jewel Boyles McGonigal.  She attended school in Doniphan.  She married Harold L. Evans in Oct. of 1950 and he passed away in April of 1986.  She married Louie F. Whittom April 7, 1990.  He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, Louie Whittom; two sons, Harold Lee (Cindy) Evans, James Edward (Glenna) Evans; two daughters, Brenda Kay (Dan) Aldrich, Marce Ann (Alvin) Boyd; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, William Leroy Boyles, Duane McGonigal; three sisters, Ethel Lee Lawson, Betty Jean Allen and Karen Andrews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyndal Boyles and Andy McGonigal.

There will not be a public service for Hazel Whittom.  Her family will hold a private graveside service at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 19 ^th , led by her son-in-law, Pastor Dan Aldrich.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
