Georgia Taylor, nee Kostes, passed away Sunday at Cumberland Pointe in West Lafayette.  She was 89.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.  Born April 17, 1932 in Chicago, she was the daughter of Peter Kostes and Elsie Frango Kostes.  She was married to Roger L. Taylor for thirty-six years and five months before his passing on Feb. 15, 2021.

Surviving family includes: brother, Dr. Tom Kostes (Carolyn); niece, Stacey M. Angelo (Robert); nephew, Brett Kostes (Sharon); daughter, Theresa Ann Daumer ; grandchildren, Kathryn Brown, Lindsey L. Risner (Mark), Dane A. Daumer (Tayler); great-granddaughter, Anna Blanche Risner; step-children, Pam Lewellen (Bill), Terri Ault (David), Roger L. Taylor, Jr. (Teresa), Connie Ritter (Tom), William Taylor (Judy), Laverne Dunn (Rudy), Vicky Colvard; eighteen step-grandchildren, thirty-five step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, aunt, Catherine Frango, step-daughter, Lisa Gonzales, and step- son-in-law, John Colvard.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff at Cumberland Pointe and to Guardian Angel Hospice for the care given to Georgia.

Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.  Her ashes, and those of her husband, will be laid to rest at the Independence Cemetery near Medaryville, Indiana later this year.
