She met her husband, John Perry, at the age of 14 and they were married on June 12, 1955 at the age of 17.  Ellen and John had 69 years together and raised four children.

She is survived by: her husband; two sons, Dennis Perry (Michele) and Doug Perry (Kimberly); one daughter, Vicki Reed (Robert); eight grandchildren, Brooke Phelps (Jeremy), Kaitlin Richey (Levi), Morgan Perry, Nolan Perry, Jason Reed (Holly), Joshua Reed (Jessie), Charles Reed and Andrew Reed; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and two step-fathers, a son, David Perry and two grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Perry, as well as a sister, Amelia Crodian.

Ellen was a talented seamstress and homemaker.  She and John square danced for 20 plus years with the Sugar Creek Squares and made many friends.  She enjoyed travelling and crafting, along with sewing, but her biggest joy was her family.  She worked most of her life, having worked at the music store on Green Street, Cambridge Inn Restaurant, Banjo and retired from R.R. Donnelley in 2002.
