Elaine M. McClure of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday morning at Lane House.  She was 85.

Elaine graduated from Northport High School in Northport, Michigan, class of 1952.  She attended the Western Union school in Crawfordsville.  She worked several places, including Western Union, later at R.R. Donnelley, J.C. Penney and as a clerk/supervisor for Goodwill.

Born May 31, 1934 in Northport, Michigan, she was the daughter of Willard David Gill and Jeanette E. Couturier Gill, who passed away when she was 2.  She was raised by a step-mother, Elizabeth Putnam Gill.  She married Donald McClure in 1978 and he passed away Sept. 10, 2010.

Her daughter, Deborah Hickam of Terre Haute, survived her before passing away on Saturday afternoon. Surviving family includes: son, Steven F. Lemon of Terre Haute; daughter, Ruthanna Brissey of Lebanon; two brothers, David Gill of Michigan and Len Edward Gill of California.

There will not be a public visitation or funeral.  There will be a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery North on Thursday, Feb. 27 ^th at 2 PM. There will also be a graveside service for her daughter, Deborah Hickam, at that time.   Burkhart Funeral Home has been entrusted with services for Elaine.
