Denny Moore

Dennis D. Moore of Crawfordsville passed away Monday morning at home.  He was 84.

Denny was a barber from 1961 until the day he passed away.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1959 and Indiana Barber College in 1961.  He also farmed several acres and enjoyed farming.  He attended New Hope Christian Church and was a member of the Eagles.  He was a very outgoing personality that enjoyed talking to people and could talk to anyone.  Most of all, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Born Feb. 2, 1941 in Brownsburg, he was the son of Charles Moore and Clara Moore.

He was surrounded by  family who loved him, which includes: two sons, Jeff Moore (Michelle) and Mike Moore; daughter, Angie Loop; foster-daughter, Patty Moser; three grandchildren, Haleigh Craig (Daniel), Chandler Moore (Korbin), Connor Moore (Alexis); six great-grandchildren; partner of 33 years, Linda Ratcliff, along with her two sons, Casey Ratcliff and Jim Ratcliff, her granddaughter, Tiffany and two great-grandchildren; three siblings, Tom Moore, Charlie Moore, and Vickie Parks.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Allen.

Visitation will be from Noon to 2 PM Friday, June 20th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash.  Services will begin at 2 PM, led by his friend, Pastor Mike Whitacre.  After the service, he will be laid to rest at the Ladoga Cemetery.
