Debra Hanks of Darlington passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21.  She was 69.

Mrs. Hanks was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Darlington.  She loved playing Bingo, attending yard sales and meeting with retired friends from Pace Dairy.  She worked at Wabash College and then for many years at Pace Dairy, retiring from there.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Born Feb. 10, 1953 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Rex Boswell and Edna Harmless Miller.  She graduated from North Putnam High School and attended Indiana Business College.  She married James "Jim" Hanks on Nov. 30, 1974.  He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, Jim Hanks of Darlington; two daughters, Jennifer Williams (Joe), Stefanie Birge (Brad); four grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, Landon and Jayla; two sisters, Trudy Wright and Deanna Boswell-New; uncle, Gene Harmless (Teresa) along with many extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

No services are planned.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home, Crawfordsville.
