David Wayne Furry, age 70, of Lebanon, IN went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on November 12, 1954 to Earl and Catherine (Wilson) Furry in Hammond, IN.

David joined the US Army in 1975, and served as a sergeant and combat engineer until honorably discharged in 1980. He was stationed in Missouri, California, Germany, and Maryland. He retired from Universal Music as the Associate Director of Systems and Storage.

David enjoyed all things techy, was an avid fisherman and golfer, and had a great love for all genres of music.  He passed on his love for music by commissioning several luthiers to custom build numerous guitars for his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Ginger Pruitt (Michael) of Terre Haute, Jonathan Furry (Amber) of Pittsboro, and Allison Swearingen (Andy) of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Gabi Pruitt, Josh Pruitt (Hannah), Raegan Furry, Peyton Furry, and Ayven Furry; sister, Jennifer Hutson; former spouse, Suellen Furry; and dear friend, Jim Howell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Peter and James Furry; daughter, Amanda Furry; and granddaughter, Angelica Pruitt.

A private family graveside service will be held at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery at a later date.
