Dallas Roberts

Dallas Roberts of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday morning at Franciscan Health of Lafayette.  He was 80.

Dallas worked at R.R. Donnelley for over 40 years, retiring in Nov. 2007.  He served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene.  He was an avid car enthusiast that collected hot rod magazines.

Born Oct. 23, 1942 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Raymond S. Roberts and Bertha M. Cope Roberts.  He attended Crawfordsville schools.  He married Sandra K. Smith in 1967.  She survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Sandra Roberts of Crawfordsville; sister, Connie Grater and several members of his extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Bryan Ray Roberts and an infant sister, Patricia.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Thursday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash.  Services will begin with military rites at 1 PM, after which Pastor Mark Roberts officiate.  Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
