On a beautiful Sunday afternoon , May 1, 2022, Bishop Clarence Isaac Lee, 84, left this earthly realm and entered his eternal home in heaven.

The oldest son of Clarence Isaac and Lillian Lucretia (Harris) Lee, Bishop Lee was born on October 1, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Later, the family moved to Putnam County where he and his siblings were raised in a small rural community. Bishop Lee graduated from Greencastle High School in 1955 and had dreams of becoming a veterinarian. Instead, he began working for medical doctors cleaning offices as well as Stark, Wetzel & Company. Throughout his life, he was a successful entrepreneur starting his own scrap metal business, Lee & Sons, carrying on a family tradition and trade he learned from his father.

As an emerging leader and aspiring minister in the Apostolic faith, he was often asked to
preach and attended local church gatherings and social events. One day, a particular young lady caught his eye and he pursued her passionately. On June 22, 1957, he married Betty Jean Mosley on her 22nd birthday. They lived in Indianapolis until 1973 before moving to Crawfordsville. Bishop Lee did this because his budding family had grown to 11 children and he wanted a more safe place for them to grow up. After relocating, they had four more children.

Bishop Lee, known as a hard-worker, was employed at Hoosier Crown for several years before entering into full-time ministry when he founded One Way Pentecostal Apostolic Church in 1987. He retired from pastoring there in 2012.

Following Betty's death in 2003, Bishop Lee later married Veda M. Miller in 2007.

Preceding him in death is a newborn, Benjamin, who suffered complications after birth; his first wife, Betty; his firstborn son, Clarence I. Lee (Junie); brothers; Timothy Lee, David Lee; sister, Frances Dean; and stepson, Robert Miller.

Bishop Lee will be deeply cherished and missed by his 11 sons and three daughters: Charles Anthony of Muncie, Indiana; Kevin Albert (Stephanie) of Bloomington, Indiana; David Michael (Andrea) of Indianapolis, Indiana ; Gerald Lamont (Akemi "Kim") of Fishers, Indiana; Kenneth Jerome (Crystal), Crawfordsville, Indiana; William Perry (Angela), Indianapolis, Indiana ; Steven Thomas (Tamara) of Lafayette, Indiana; Jeannine Lucretia Lois Lee Lake of Muncie, Indiana; Patrick Nathaniel (Jana) of Lafayette, Indiana; Mary Beth Kenner (Cordell) of Lafayette, Indiana; Jeffrey Alan (Shanda) Santa Clarita, California; John Ryan (Lynnetta) of Yorktown, Indiana; Joyce Anne Terry (Jimmy), East Rockaway, New York, and Josef Aaron (Alisa), Indianapolis, Indiana; stepdaughter, Gail Harding (George) of Kokomo, Indiana. Additionally, several forever family members share in the loss of Bishop Lee.

Bishop Lee is also survived by his siblings; James Lee (Barbara) of Lafayette, Indiana; Marie Oatman (Melvin) of Mesquite, Texas; Mary Helen Dean of Greencastle, Indiana and Eunice Lee of Terre Haute, Indiana. His legacy will be remembered by a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, extended family, friends, spiritual sons and daughters, and ministry colleagues.
