Christopher Duane Blickenstaff passed away Sunday morning at Methodist Hospital at the age of 33.

Christopher enjoyed playing bluegrass music with his uncle, Jim Denman.  He loved it when he got to play music as one of the guys, a group that included Donnie Baker, Denny Hopkins, Levi and Luke Denman, Jason Surber and Tim Terry.  Most of all, he loved visits from his family.

Born Aug. 28, 1989 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Wesley Christopher Blickenstaff and Elizabeth A. Beck Tipton.  He was a graduate of Wabash High School in Wabash, Indiana.

Surviving family includes: three sisters, Aubrie Orr, Mekenzie Tipton, and Olivia Summers, all of Crawfordsville; four nieces, Ezra, Aura, Ruby, and River; his aunt/guardian, Sherrill Million of Ladoga; aunt, Diane Mathews of Crawfordsville; two uncles, Robert D. Beck, and Tom Howell, both of Crawfordsville.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; four aunts, Shannon Blickenstaff Harrison, Sandra Underwood, Julie Bridwell and Frances Denman; grandparents, Robert L. Beck, Mary Lou Beck, and Libbie Blickenstaff.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Saturday at Crossroads Community Church of the Nazarene.  Services will begin at 1 PM, with Pastor Mark Roberts and Pastor Jim Denman officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Ladoga Cemetery.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
