Charles Robert Holmes, Jr. Passed away Tuesday, June 4th at his home in Browns Valley.

Born February 18, 1942 at Crawfordsville, he was the son of the late Charles Holmes Sr. and Bernice (Hamilton) Mason.

He attended schools in Crawfordsville and Reseda, California, graduating in 1961 from Van Nuys High School.  He later served his country in the United States Marine Corps based at Camp Pendleton from 1961 to 1964.  He worked as an engineer for Lockheed Aircraft, Disney Studios and Mallory Controls and enjoyed photography.

Surviving family members include his wife, Brenda Fox; daughters Valerie (William) McCauley of Indianapolis, Laurie Ashley of Nebraska, sons Charles R. Holmes III of Bullhead, Arizona, Scott (Jamie) Fox of Frankfort and David Fox of Mariana, Florida; brother David W. Holmes of Santa Anna, California; sister Judy Currans of Ellettsville; grandchildren Nikkole Hardy, Julia Spurgeon, Katherine McCauley, Shannon McCauley, Courtney Conway, Shelby Fox, Gabby Rothwell, Tyler Fox, Harper Fox, Kearstyn Fox, Shania Fox and several great-grandchildren.
