Carolyn Miller Sturgeon passed away on 1-7-2025.  She was the oldest daughter of Orville and Lois (Cunningham) Miller of Wallace Indiana, born April 26, 1939. She was a 1957 graduate of Wallace High School, with many honors.

She met the late Don Sturgeon from Franklin Indiana when he came to Wallace and worked for his uncle Claude Ward at Grace Feed, which he owned in Wallace.  They married on July 12, 1958 and were married 63 years until Don's passing. They lived a number of places before settling at New Market for 18 years, then going to Kokomo and finally in Lafayette.

Carolyn worked a few jobs in her youth, including R &R Donnelley's, though she spent most of her career as a homemaker and self-employed in real estate with her husband.  Carolyn was very well traveled; living in Germany during Don's military service and traveling over all the United States and Canada.  Carolyn loved cooking, reading, and gardening.

Carolyn was proceeded in death also by her brothers Lonnie Alan of Hillsboro; Charlie of Crawfordsville, several cousins, other family, and friends.  She is survived by brothers Bob and Susan Miller; Ed Miller and Linda Miller, both of Crawfordsville; cousin Sally Cunningham of Kingman; son Clint Sturgeon and his wife Tammy of Cataract IN; granddaughter Megan Sturgeon of Freelandville IN, Colin Sturgeon of Cataract and Corey Sturgeon of Buffalo NY and several nieces and nephews. Carolyn also had a sister Marge (Young), last known in Lafayette area with no contact in the family for many years.

Graveside service will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery, south of Wallace, Indiana on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11:30am.
