Barton Leon Price, 78, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31 ^st at Franciscan Health of Crawfordsville.  He had been at Wellbrooke for the previous month.

He was born June 7, 1944 to Boyd and Martha (Cook) Price in Crawfordsville.  Graduated from Darlington High School in 1963 and joined the Indiana National Guard.  He had worked at R.R. Donnelley, then later Cummins Diesel, Carmel Concrete and retired from Celadon Trucking in Indianapolis.  He married Sue Vance in 1971 and later divorced.

He was a diesel mechanic his whole working career who enjoyed having horses, restoring antique jeeps and tractors in his retirement.

He is survived by his sister, Betty Harris Norman of New Market, nieces, Stacy Harris (Jason) Frieze and Amy Harris (Michael) Sims, both of Indianapolis, great-niece, Isabella Frieze and great-nephews, Nolan and Austin Sims, step-children, Mike Lennartz, Randy Vance and Tina Vance Flowers Cornell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Adrian and two brothers-in-law, Derald Harris and Dean Norman.

Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2:30 PM Tuesday, Jan. 3 ^rd at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be at 3 PM Tuesday at Greenlawn Cemetery, led by Pastor Mike Whitacre.
