Allanna Marie "Lonnie" England (Linder), of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2025 at the Lane House Nursing Home, Crawfordsville. Lonnie was born on June 26, 1953 to John and Mary Linder in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lonnie lived a life marked by deep love for family.
Lonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard "Rick" England; cherished grandchildren, Danyel Clark Rood, Dakota "Cody" Clark and Peter Rood; brother, Sam Linder; and sister-in-law, Loretta Linder. Their memory lives on through the family she held dear.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Anna (Harvey) Rood of Crawfordsville, Indiana; son, Joseph "Joe" (Lisa) England of Iron Mountain, Michigan; grandsons, William "Will" (Madison) Rood, Noah Rood and Chase Rood, all of Crawfordsville; step-granddaughter, Tamera Kouns England and step-grandson, Kenny Kouns II of Iron Mountain, Michigan; and nephew Sam (Beth) Linder, Jr. of Greenwood, Indiana. Each of them carries forward Lonnie's legacy in their own way.
Throughout their years, Lonnie found happiness in the outdoors and the companionship of animals. She enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening- activities that brought her close to nature. A devoted reader, Lonnie often found comfort and inspiration in books. Her love for dogs and cats was evident to all who knew her, as she shared her life with many beloved pets over the years.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Lane House Nursing Home for their compassionate care during Lonnie's time there. A special thank you goes to nurse Casey for her kindness, dedication and putting up with all the late-night phone calls. The family also wishes to express deep appreciation to Rolande "Roe" Burch- your presence and that of you granddaughter Caity brought immense joy to Lonnie's life. She loved you both very much.
Lonnie lived a life marked by quiet joys and simple pleasures. May the memory of Allanna Marie "Lonnie" England bring comfort to all who knew her.
A private burial will be held at the Jamestown IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
