Wayne Crowder of Crawfordsville passed away at home.  He was 74.

Wayne attended school at Grange Corner and graduated from Crawfordsville High School.  He served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany.  He worked at Hoosier Crown (HC) for many years and also with the State Highway Dept.  He liked to go hunting and fishing.

Born May 17, 1945 in Parke County, he was the son of Eston Crowder and Velma Doreen Newman Crowder.

Surviving family includes: two sons, Ronald L. Crowder (Robin) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Bill Crowder of Crawfordsville; daughter, Rhonda Niece of Crawfordsville; five sisters; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two brothers and a granddaughter, Ashley Crowder.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 1 PM, followed by a burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Rockville.
