Virginia Alice Schweighardt of Crawfordsville, IN passed away Tuesday morning after a short stay in the hospital. She was 79.

Born July 7, 1944 in Urbana, IL, she was the daughter of John Magans and Alice Magans (Borowski). She graduated from high school in Hackensack, New Jersey. She married Andrew Schweighardt on April 19, 1964 in Rochelle Park, New Jersey.

Virginia worked in various areas of business over the years, from being an Executive Administrative Assistant to Real Estate Management to her last position as a Patient Advocate.  She loved her many pets, especially Butch recently and also loved to sail, scrapbooking, cooking, crossword puzzles, reading and to knit/embroider. She was a caregiver to her beloved husband Andrew and a friend to many, especially her neighbors in Crawfordsville.  She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Aunt, Sister, and Grandmother, who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church.

Virginia is survived by her loving children, son, Keith Schweighardt (Sandy); daughter, Christine Foster (Matt); cherished grandchildren, Stephen, Alan, Luke and Ashley; beloved brother John Magans and beloved sisters, Alice Greenwood (Kenny) and Eilene Lombardi (Jude).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Schweighardt and her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church starting at 11 AM on Friday, November 3rd with burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.
