Tommy D. Alfrey, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday night at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington, Illinois.  He was 61.

Mr. Alfrey worked in the printing business with several start-ups in Indiana, Missouri and for the past 10 years in the Chicago area.  He was an outdoorsman that liked camping in the area parks.  He enjoyed roller skating, a good smoothie, and a good beer.

Born May 10, 1962 in Crawfordsville, he was the son of Teddy Alfrey, Sr. and Bonnie Lou Ross Alfrey.  He graduated from North Montgomery High School.

Surviving family includes: son, Jacob Wright (Amy); daughter, Sarah Booe (Curtis); three grandchildren, Madelyn, Hailey and Jace; two brothers, Teddy Alfrey and Timmy Alfrey.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Terry Alfrey.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday, August 28th at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash.  Tommy received support from the American Cancer Society during his illness and his family asks that donations be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 681405, Indianapolis, IN 46268-1405.
