Susan (White) Tapia

December 30, 1948 to July 14, 2026

Susan (White) Tapia, age 79, passed away after battling cancer on July 14, 2026 in Powell Wyoming.

Born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on December 30, 1946 to Charles K. and Genevieve Harlan White, she graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1965. Susan went on to retire from Eli Lilly after 30 years. In 2007 Susan moved to Wyoming with her companion Mike Woodruff. While in Wyoming she worked 5 years at the Cody Wyoming Farmers Market.

Susan was secretary treasurer of Wyoming Fiddlers Association #2 for ten years. She did walks at American VolksMarch Association events and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and various other crafts.

Surviving family includes: son, Gil Tapia of Surprise Arizona; sister, Jane White; and companion, Mike Woodruff.

Cremation was chosen for Susan with a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery North, Crawfordsville, IN, on August 6 at 12 PM, Noon.  A celebration of life will take place following the graveside service from 2pm to 5 pm at VFW post 1431, 117 N Water St, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
