Susan Jennings

Susan Jennings of Owensboro, Kentucky and formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Friday afternoon at the Heartford House in Owensboro at the age of 63.

Susan was a CNA at several facilities in the area, including Williamsburg, Hickory Creek, Lane House, and Ben-Hur.  She liked to sit on her front porch in the morning and drink coffee.  Susan loved to travel, having taken cruises and trips to London, along with road trips crisscrossing most of the country. Her favorite road trip was her annual October trip from wherever she was currently living to the Covered Bridge Festival in Parke County.

Born Oct. 27, 1960 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Donald Dean Jennings and Patricia Keller (nee Walker).  She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1978.

Surviving family includes: six children, Courtney Baumer, Matthew Baumer, Kyle Baumer, Maloree Riddle, Stephen Hopper, Michael Hopper; brother, Jeff Jennings; several grandchildren whom she loved, Logan, Ethan, Sydney, Matisyn, Barrett, Bailey, Aaliyah, Serenity, Benjamin, Lilliana, Spencer, Dallas, Angel, Emilee, Jackson, Gannon, Cheyenne, Addison, Buster, and Rhylee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Marshall.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Friday, October 11th at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery, led by Pastor Dave Keesee.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
