Susan D. Hodges of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday morning at Franciscan Health of Lafayette.  She was 60.

Mrs. Hodges worked at the Snacker Grill and later as a CNA but was happiest during the time she spent as a stay-at-home grandmother.  She enjoyed anything to do with Princess Diana and loved spending time with her grandkids.

Born Jan. 10, 1964 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Ray Lemon and Betty I. Newkirk.  She attended Crawfordsville High School and later earned her GED.  She married Ricky Hodges in 2006 and he passed away in 2021.

Surviving family includes: daughter Nicole (Mason) Morrison of Crawfordsville; two sons, J.B. (Samantha) McKinney and Robert (Tara) McKinney, both of Crawfordsville; four adopted children, Ethan, Kourtney, Logan and Oliver; her father, Ray Lemon; grandchildren, Gibson Morrison, Payton, Ava, Parker and Gavin McKinney; brother, Russell Lemon, step-sister, Donna (Jimmy) Gemino; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rick Hodges and her mom, Betty Newkirk.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash.  Services will begin at 1 PM, led by Ivan Brown.  After the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
