Susan Chambers of Crawfordsville passed away Monday morning at University Hospital after a long illness.  She was 48.

Susan was a huge fan of the show Grey's Anatomy and Patrick Swayze.  She loved spending time with family and especially spending time with her grandkids.  She was a 1992 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.

Born April 16, 1973 in Crawfordsville, she was the daughter of Hubert Dowell and Rosalie Blanton Dowell.  She married David Chambers on June 21, 1992.  He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, David Chambers; two daughters, Megan Chambers and Danielle Chambers; two granddaughters, Sophia and Madalynn; three sisters, Ronda Blanton, Vonda Shively and Angie Watkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

There will be a gathering to celebrate the life of Susan Chambers from 2 PM to 3 PM on Saturday, Feb. 19 ^th at the Christian Union Church, 1472 North 650 West, Waynetown, IN.  A memorial service will begin at 3 PM.  Arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home.
