Sue Dale of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday evening at her home.  She was 76.

Sue was a member of Fremont St. Baptist Church, where she was very active.  She did the church bulletin for over 30 years, among many other church activities.  She was previously a member of the American Legion.  She served in the Air Force and later worked at Raybestos and the Open Air Fruit Market.

Born April 14, 1944, she was the daughter of Austin Farley and Bonnie Sadler.  She graduated from Turkey Run, class of 1962 and married Leonard Dale on April 4, 1965 in Crawfordsville.  He survives.

Surviving family includes: husband, Leonard Dale of Crawfordsville; son, Chuck Dale of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter, Peggy Crowder of Goose Creek, South Carolina; sister, Phyllis Hayes of Alamo; brother, David Sadler of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, Chad and Lindsey Dale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Austin Farley, Jr. and granddaughter, Ashley Crowder.

Visitation will be from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Tuesday at Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 W. Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville.  There will be a graveside service at 2 PM at Oak Hill Cemetery North, led by Pastor Dan Aldrich, with military rites by American Legion Post 72.
