Shirley M. Wolford of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday afternoon at home.  She was 71.

Shirley worked as a housekeeper and laundry aide at Ben-Hur Nursing Home.  Born July 17, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Edward Jennings Woody and Carlena Bell Woody.

She was loved and will be missed by her family.  They include: daughter, Tonia Wolford Zuk; son, Nicholas Wolford; three brothers, Luther Williams, Jerry Woody, Jesse Woody; thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Rose, Carol, Emmajean, a brother, Jimmy and her great-granddaughter, Bricelyan "Monkey" Hamblin.

Cremation arrangements were made through Burkhart Funeral Home.  Her ashes will be taken to Ohio and placed with her family there.
