Shirley A. Record, 88, went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2025.  She was a short-term resident at the Ben-Hur Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Shirley was born on September 8, 1937 in Bainbridge, Indiana.  She was a graduate of the Bainbridge High School, class of 1955.  She worked at Ben-Hur prior to her marriage to Howard Record on January 1, 1977 in Montgomery County, Indiana.  Since then, she had been living in Crawfordsville.  She helped Howard on the farm when and where needed.

Shirley is preceded in death by husband, Howard Record, son, Scott Barker, mother, Eleanor Miles Ferrand, father, Marion Ferrand, sister, Kaye Ferrand Steele, brother, Keith Ferrand and step-granddaughter, Dana Record.

Surviving are: son, Steven Barker of Oregon; brother, Robert "Carl" Ferrand (Anita) of Greencastle, David Ferrand (Janet) of Greencastle; step-sons, David Record (Barbara) of Crawfordsville, Lawrence Record of Lafayette, Philip Record (Karen) of Crawfordsville; step-grandchildren, Adam Record (Rhonda), Tonya Record, Daniel Record, Johnathon Record (Kayla), Douglas Record (Anne), Aaron Record and Andrew Record (Jennifer); step-great-grandchildren, Mitchell Record, Joel Record (Crystal), Jacob Record (Emily), Landon Record, Emma Record, Kyle Record,  Wyatt Record, Mariah Solomon (Caleb) and Colin Record; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation and celebration of life service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 3rd at the Burkhart Funeral Home, 201 West Wabash Avenue, Crawfordsville.  Family and friends may pay respects from 11:30 AM to 1 PM with the service starting at 1 PM officiated by Pastor Dan Aldrich of Fremont Street Baptist Church.
