Ruby Sturgeon

Ruby L. (Geralds) Walden Sturgeon passed away at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville on Monday, Sept. 30th.

Ruby was born March 25, 1934 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Theodore and Ermie Geralds.  She worked many years at Williamsburg Health Care.  She loved working in her flowers and had an avid green thumb.  She also loved collecting bird houses and butterflies.

She is survived by; sons, Andy Walden (Peggy), Dan Walden, Randy Walden (Diana) all of Crawfordsville and Roy Sturgeon (Michelle) of Reelsville; daughter, Charlotte Blizzard of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Margie Bartley of Tompkinsville, KY; as well as 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Bradley and Jerry Dean, sisters, Barb Kerr and Clara Jackson, brother, Jim Geralds and daughter-in-law, Mary Walden.

Visitation will be from Noon to 2 PM Thursday, Oct. 3 at Burkhart Funeral Home.  Services will begin at 2 PM, led by Pastor Ron Brown.  Burial will follow at the New Richmond Cemetery.
