Obituary

Ronald Wayne Paddack of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday, June 19 th at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.  He was 80.

Born January 22, 1941 in Montgomery County, Indiana, he was the son of Royden and Geneva Fletcher Paddack.  He graduated from Darlington High School and then served in the United States Navy as a machinist.  On May 22, 1966 he married Marla Smith.  She preceded him in death on August 20, 2009.

Mr. Paddack retired from Indiana Bell after 29 ½ years.  He later worked for Alcoa and Home Depot. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He attended Grace of God Fellowship Church of Veedersburg and was a member of Moose Lodge, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans and MILWIT.

Surviving family includes his son, David (Schelee) Paddack of Sunbury, Ohio; sisters Becky (Darrell) Riddell and Judy (Larry) Gray; granddaughters Caitlin Paddack and Carlee (David) McClure as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Paddack.

Visitation will be Friday, June 25 th at Burkhart Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.  A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, June 26 th at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Lyons and Pastor Mike Smith Officiating.  Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery of Darlington.
