Robin Lane (Johnson) Garman, 92, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, died peacefully at home on October 5, 2025.

Robin was born on September 25, 1933, in Geneva, Illinois to Carl and Dolores Johnson. She and her two brothers were brought up in a loving home.

Robin earned her bachelor degree from the University of Illinois and completed her teaching certificate at Beloit College in Wisconsin. She used her education throughout her lifetime. Her best 20+ years were spent teaching preschool At the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. She taught the children with compassion and patience. When an emergency vehicle went by with the sirens blaring, she would always assure them that someone was getting help.  She was truly the female Mr. Rogers.

Robin loved nature. She always grew lovely flowers. Zinnias being her favorite.
She instilled appreciation and conservancy for nature to all of her children.

Robin volunteered in many capacities for much of her life. She always found ways to help others that needed assistance. A childhood friend recently sent a card recounting how Robin shared things with her since her family had little. She wrote, "It has always been a good lesson for me to always be as kind and thoughtful as you are."

Rob Will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Christine Garman, son Gregory Garman, daughter Lynn Garman; grandchildren Blaine Garman-McClaine (spouse Kelsey Carrier) and Tate Garman-McClaine; great grandchildren Arlo and Poppy McClaine; sister-in-law, Joan Johnson. Her family will miss her dedication to mailing birthday cards containing a "token" 20.

Christine thanks Kylee, Abby, and Kandyce of SouthernCare Hospice for their compassionate care for the last two years. Also, Heather Wade for her loving care the last 5 months.

Per Robin's wishes, there will be no service. Instead of flowers; donations, monetary or acts of service, may be made to a favorite cause.
