June 28, 1935-Jan. 29, 2023

Robert "Bob" Miller of Crawfordsville passed away early Sunday morning at Bickford of Crawfordsville.  He was 87.

Bob was happiest when he was farming or sitting on a tractor; he liked to cut wood, mow and garden.  He worked as a truck driver for Frito-Lay and with the Indiana State Highway Department building Interstate 74, then settled into working at Mid-States, where he retired after 33 years.  He also served in the Army Reserves and was sent to Fort Bliss.

Born at home on the family dairy farm on June 28, 1935 in Warren County, Iowa, near Adel, he was the son of Arthur Miller and Lulu Zuck Miller.  When he was in his mid-teens, his family moved to Long Beach, California and he graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic.  He married Virginia Wilson on July 20, 1963.  She survives.

Surviving family includes: wife, Virginia "Ginny" Miller of Crawfordsville; four sons, Daniel (Sonya) Miller of Atlanta, Rick Miller of Kenai, Alaska, Monty (Sue) Miller of Carmel, Darrin Miller of Bainbridge; daughter, Sherri (Matt) Bentley of Crawfordsville; grandchildren, Kacey (Cory) Price, Marcus Miller, Gage Bentley, Nathan Miller, Isabella Bentley, Brennan (Trinity) Miller,  Xavier Miller and Vivian Kolasinski. Bob is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
