Richard Leon Marshall passed away Sunday, February 9th at Lane House Nursing Home.  He was 88 years old.

Richard was born December 12, 1936 to Clyde Oscar and May Bell Akins Marshall in Waveland, Indiana.  He married Mildred Marie Elliott Marshall on July 27, 1959.

Richard graduated from Waveland High School.  He worked at MidStates Steel and Wire for 40 years, Oak Hill Cemetery for 5 years and Carquest Auto Parts for 15 years.

Richard enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, helping farm, cutting wood, working in the yard with Mildred, and relaxing by sitting out on the front deck with his family.  He also enjoyed bowling, throwing horseshoes, and watching baseball.  He was a very big Chicago Cubs fan.

Richard is survived by his son, Tony Chad Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Marie Marshall, his parents, Clyde Oscar and May Bell Marshall, a brother, Harry Marshall and a sister, Kathryn Morrison.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Feb. 12th at Oak Hill Cemetery South with Pastor Tim Lyons officiating.  Arrangements were entrusted to Burkhart Funeral Home.
